All the chutneys and jams are hand made by Diane & Matt Bentley, who live locally in Withnell.
Due to health issues Diane had to give up work and started gardening and growing vegetables. To make use of her ever growing stock pile of veggies and fruit she began making chutneys and jams. She gave them to friends and family as gifts and over time began to realise, she was rather good at it and Little Jars of Withnell was born.
To cope with increasing demand husband Matt, who is a self-employed gardener, was brought on board, not only to grow the stock but to be number one kitchen assistant.
They only use seasonal fruits and vegetables, most of which they grow themselves with any other ingredients being locally sourced.
The ingredients list is simple, all good stuff with no preservatives or nasty stuff and taste and quality are key. Our product range changes with the seasons so there is always something new and exciting to try.
