The Singleton family have been farming since 1931 but with changing times they needed to diversify to keep the family business afloat.
Over a drink or two they came up with the idea of producing Gin, something they had the natural resources for and something that would safeguard the family’s future. Supported by a grant within months Brindle Distillery was born.
The heart of the business is sustainability with a renewable energy biomass boiler, by products from distilling used to feed cattle, the barley provides bedding for the livestock and they dug their own artesian well providing all the water they need.
Things really started to take off and soon a new state of the art hand built copper still arrived from Germany to cope with the increased demand.
Very much a firm local favourite.
